2025
Inspired by , I've decided to start annually recapping some of the things I've done during the year. While I've never been one to keep a diary or regularly look back on my camera roll, but writing this gives me a snapshot to look back on, and a baseline for the year ahead.
-
Started off the year strong with a weekend Snowboard/Camping trip to Palisades. It quickly became miserable when it proceeded to rain the entire weekend. We ended up camping in Donner Pass off the side of a highway (where I learned the importance of a properly r-value rated sleeping pad) and only doing a single digit amount of laps over the course of 2 days.
-
Got roped by a friend into playing in a pit orchestra for a musical. I eventually ended up enjoying it, and as corny as it sounds, rediscovered my favorite part of playing the violin: making music with others.
-
On a March weekend, my team and I built a concept for proactive mental health check-ins for the elderly using insights inferred from EEG data, and placed second overall at Chinatown Hacks, San Francisco’s first hackathon for high school students. Although the prize was primarily expiring credits to services I don't use, it was still a proud win considering I was absent for multiple hours on the first day while having to compete in a swim meet, and ended up doing a lot of my programming in a wet towel on the pool deck.
-
Over spring break I drove up to Mammoth from San Diego to snowboard and disperse camp. This was my first time being over in the eastern sierras and it's now firmly cemented as some of my most favorite Californian scenery.

-
On May 24th, I graduated high school. Many thanks to the opportunities, and people (peers and instructors) who've shaped me over those 4 years.
-
To kick off my summer, I had the idea to . It ended up taking me a bit over 5 hours armed with a running vest and two carb gels. Since then, I've complimented it by hiking the cross and double crosstown trails.
-
Visited yosemite for the first time in 10 years.

-
After observing a gap in software for film labs, I gave at creating a SaaS to address inefficiencies within their workflows. While I didn't find the PMF that I had hoped, I've transitioned and found success in building enterprise solutions for larger film labs.
-
Despite being an MCP sceptic, I attended and surprisingly won the with my team.
-
Flew up to Washington in late September for a few days to cowork with my brother and friends out of an Airbnb in the country. Went on some hikes through the and had the opportunity to visit the Seattle community banana stand.
-
Spent two days in Santa Barbara visiting my girlfriend and shipping my SaaS. Due to my return bus being canceled last minute I got to experience the joy of 9 hours of Amtrak where I spent the majority camped out in the observation car writing code.
-
In mid-october, I returned to Yosemite to hike half dome with some coworkers. When planning months ahead we had intended to ascend with the cables down, but an extended government shutdown and early snowstorm resulted in the cables surprisingly still being up for our attempt.
-
Began November by hiking Mt. San Gorgonio with a my brother and his friend. While the view wasn't the greatest, it was still a fun time, and good high altitude experience for a Whitney attempt next year.

-
Flew to Las Vegas to view the F1 Thursday practice session with my brother and visit a friend. We somehow managed to snag last-minute tickets that included a pit-lane walk, and grandstand seating. After a brief 36 hours, I returned back to SF to go straight to a morning class.
-
Finally purchased my first and have slowly been increasing my mileage with the goal of competing in my first olympic triathlon and half Ironman in 2026.
-
Writing this from an Airbnb in Salt Lake City the day after Christmas where I'm planning to spend the rest of the year snowboarding and spending time working on personal projects.
